Aica HPL
Features
AICA High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is laminated plastic sheets that have been formed at high temperature (150 ° C) and high pressure (around 100 kg / cm2). This process involves stacking several sheets, each of which is then infiltrated with melamine and phenol resins, and dried separately. The surface layer consists of melamine resin while the core layer consists of phenol resin.
The High quality laminates conforms to JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) applying for the Japanese market. The laminates are made of environmentally friendly materials and produced with high pressure processes. There are wide selection of designs and thicknesses with many surface finishing options resulting in surfaces that look natural and exclusive.
The laminates are artificial interior products that are very safe for health and it is also a surface finishing used for cabinets, tables, kitchen-sets, etc. Complying with strict Japanese safety standards, AICA HPL products are classified as SUPER E0 LEVEL. As evidence of its concern for its users & the environment, AICA greatly minimizes the use of formaldehyde which is widely known as one of the causes of Sick House Syndrome, and also for its carcinogenic characteristics.
Aica HPL has been awarded the GREENGUARD & Singapore Green Label certification for its commitment to the environment.
Aica HPL is commonly used as an interior finishing material such as wallpapers, ceilings and furniture. Before applying Aica HPL to the desired media, Aica HPL is cut by using cutting tools such as Circular Saw into the required size and then glued by using Aica Aibon Glue and trimmed by using a Trimmer. There are 2 types of Aica Aibon Glue that can be used, namely spray type (Aibon 637, Aibon GTR 3 and Aibon RQSY7) and polish type (Aibon 601, Aibon 501, Aibon 12, Aibon 10, Aibon 7, Aibon SP and Aibon RQ.651).
