PT Aica Indonesia once again asserts its presence and innovation in the interior finishing industry by participating in the prestigious ARCH:ID architecture exhibition, held from May 8–11, 2025 at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang. For this year’s showcase, Aica Indonesia presents a theme inspired by the rich natural beauty of the Indonesian archipelago, brought to life through a curated selection of its finest products.
Rooted in the elements of Nusantara’s nature, the booth was designed in collaboration with Pavilion95, led by Design Director Cahyo Candrawan.
“This design embodies the essence of Indonesia, representing its islands, ocean waves, majestic mountains, sweeping valleys, and the vast expanse of the sky,” Cahyo shared.
To realize this vision, Aica’s high-pressure laminates (HPL) and wall panels were used as the primary mediums, blending storytelling with technical performance in a seamless display of material innovation.
“We sought to translate the richness of Indonesian nature into a visual narrative using Aica’s materials as our main language,” Cahyo explained during the event.
The installation, titled “Persada Nusantara: Between Earth, Stone, and the Breath of Nature,” reflects the grandeur and spirit of the homeland, symbolized by fertile soil, steadfast stone, and the boundless sky that stretches from east to west.
Each element within the booth was thoughtfully designed to reflect these themes. Warm, glowing wall panels represent the rising sun, illuminating the archipelago.
The seating and display area, fluid and winding, mimics the natural curves of Indonesia’s islands, evoking the archipelago’s topography and its unity within the Republic of Indonesia.
Mountains and valleys emerge through the curved lines of the display walls, elegantly clad in a combination of CERARL and Purecore, two of Aica’s signature lines. Above it all, a canopy resembling a drift of clouds mirrors the expanse of the sky, unifying the installation.
To fully realize this immersive concept, the booth incorporates a wide range of Aica's surface materials, Aica HPL, Aica HPL Purecore, CERARL, ToughTop, Aica R, and Aica SPC, providing visitors with a rich visual and sensory experience throughout.
“With their superior flexibility and durability, AICA’s laminates seamlessly integrate into this architectural expression,” Cahyo concluded. “These materials rise to the challenge of natural forms without sacrificing aesthetics. Every surface here is more than visual, it’s a tactile interpretation of how materials and nature can harmonize to create a spatial experience that is both beautiful and resilient.”
Also debuting at this year’s ARCH:ID are Aica Indonesia’s two latest innovations: Aica R and Aica SPC, a testament to the brand’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative solutions for diverse interior finishing needs.
